WeavOcean seeks to design second-skin garments made from regenerative seaweed fibers.

WeavOcean was born from a return to the roots. After several years studying and working in fashion design and architecture abroad, I came back to Martinique. It was there, in the heart of coastal landscapes, that I became deeply aware of the fragility of island ecosystems — and the silent impact of the clothes we wear.

During my sports practice, I realized how omnipresent synthetic textiles are in activewear — and how harmful they are, both for our skin and for the environment. The conclusion was clear: changing one’s wardrobe to a healthier, ecological version was nearly impossible. So, I decided to create the solution I was looking for.

Seaweed fibers (such as those developed by Pyratex) offer a revolutionary alternative: naturally soft, breathable, biodegradable — with regenerative properties.

“WeavOcean” is the fusion of two worlds:

• “Weave”, the act of weaving, connecting — fibers, knowledge, generations.
• “Ocean”, the source of our inspiration, our material, and our responsibility.
